Image
Before collecting footage for my final film, I filmed some rehearsal footage. I experimented with camera angles and lighting. From doing this it helped me in getting used to using the camera and knowing which camera angles worked best.

Course Work- Script and Plot Synopsis

Script Because I am doing a documentary, I will not be using a script. I want to keep it truthful and authentic. However, I do have some questions which I will ask the individual to prompt specific subjects for her to talk about: What was it like before Queenie? What things did you find difficult to do? what made you decide to get an assistance dog? Did you know anyone at the time who had an assistance dog? How did you feel when you found out that you were getting Queenie? When did you get Queenie? Was it easy adapting to having an assistance dog? How has Queenie changed your daily life? Has it been for the better? Do you wish you had made the decision to get an assistance dog sooner? Would you recommend getting an assistance dog to others? Plot Synopsis  A documentary about a young women with Cerable Palsy and about how recently getting an assistance dog has changed her life.

Course Work-Shot List

The types of shots I would like to include in my documentary are: - Establishing  shots (house, room in house, park) - Static medium shots of Jess for the interview - Archive footage of Jess and Queenie (not sure what types of shots theses include ) - Dolly tracking shots of Queenie helping - Wide shots of Queenie helping - Profile shots of Queenie helping -Dolly tracking shot of them on a walk - Extreme  wide shot of them on a walk

Course Work- Character Profile and Casting Choices

My documentary is about a young woman who suffers from Cerebral Pals y. She has recently been   given an assistance dog and it has greatly improved her life.  I had thought about using Jess' story, but having an actress playing her. However, I felt that my documentary would be more truthful, and genuine if Jess was herself.

Course work- Shooting Plan

For my filming, I am planning on having four different dates. : - rehearsal footage of interview to experiment with lighting and sound. (planed for 04/11/19) - final interview footage - videoing of assistance dog helping in many different ways, such as opening and closing cupboards. - footage filmed outside of them on a walk. However, later on I may find that I need to add in extra filming dates, I f I don't manage to film all I need.
