Course Work- Rehersal Footage

Before collecting footage for my final film, I filmed some rehearsal footage. I experimented with camera angles and lighting. From doing this it helped me in getting used to using the camera and knowing which camera angles worked best.

Course Work- Narration

I plan to add a narration talking about cerebral palsy  and when Jess was diagnosed with it. Here is a rough version of the narration:  Jess,24, suffers from cerebral palsy. She was diagnosed at the age of???. Cerebral palsy is a group of lifelong conditions that affect a person’s movement and co-ordination. It is caused by a problem with the brain that occurs before, during or shortly after birth. Symptoms can include problems such as stiff or weak muscles. Course Work- Final Idea

Final Idea  After my presentation and feedback I have decided to continue with the idea  of a documentary   about the impact of an assistance dog on someone with  cerebral palsy's life.  I want to do this to make people more aware of how difficult it can be to live with cerebral palsy. I also want to do it to show just how helpful an assistance dog can be, and how much they can change a persons life. I want to make sure that the documentary focuses on ending positively, showing how much an assistance dog can impact a persons life for the better. My ideas of what I would like to include in my documentary: - Archive footage - Narration - Current footage of assistance dog helping - Static shots of the individual talking about the assistance dog and answering questions.  - Go pro on dog - Footage of both on a walk outside

Course Work- Character Profile and Casting Choices

My documentary is about a young woman who suffers from Cerebral Pals y. She has recently been   given an assistance dog and it has greatly improved her life.  I had thought about using Jess' story, but having an actress playing her. However, I felt that my documentary would be more truthful, and genuine if Jess was herself.
