Using Mise-en-scene to create genre stills

Using Mise-en-scene we created six stills of different genres. We did this in order to understand what different aspects of Mise-en-scene go into each different genre of film. We also did it so that we could look out for these in the future and can easily know the genre of a film.  Teen We used character expression and movement to express the anger the character is feeling.  We also used the setting of a school and set of school lockers, theses are often associated with Teen films as it is a setting where teens spend most of their life. Romance For Romance we used character expression and  proxemics  to clearly show the affection between the two characters. Course Work- Final Idea

Final Idea  After my presentation and feedback I have decided to continue with the idea  of a documentary   about the impact of an assistance dog on someone with  cerebral palsy's life.  I want to do this to make people more aware of how difficult it can be to live with cerebral palsy. I also want to do it to show just how helpful an assistance dog can be, and how much they can change a persons life. I want to make sure that the documentary focuses on ending positively, showing how much an assistance dog can impact a persons life for the better. My ideas of what I would like to include in my documentary: - Archive footage - Narration - Current footage of assistance dog helping - Static shots of the individual talking about the assistance dog and answering questions.  - Go pro on dog - Footage of both on a walk outside

Course Work- Narration

I plan to add a narration talking about cerebral palsy  and when Jess was diagnosed with it. Here is a rough version of the narration:  Jess,24, suffers from cerebral palsy. She was diagnosed at the age of???. Cerebral palsy is a group of lifelong conditions that affect a person’s movement and co-ordination. It is caused by a problem with the brain that occurs before, during or shortly after birth. Symptoms can include problems such as stiff or weak muscles. Jess’s condition has previously made her life difficult and painful. However, just over a year ago, someone came into her life, changing it in so many ways. After showing Jess the narration, I made changes to it. Jess has cerebral palsy. She was diagnosed with it at 18 months.
