Questions for my documentary interview

After  meeting up with the person who I would like to focus my documentary on, I came up with a list of questions to ask her in the interview element to my documentary.

What was it like before queenie ?
What things did you find difficult to do ?

What made you decide to get an assistance dog? 

Did you know anyone at the time who had an assistance dog? 

How did you feel when you found out you were getting queenie ?

When did you get queenie?

Was it easy adapting to having an assistance dog ?

How has queenie changed your daily life ?
Has it been for the better?

Do you wish you had made the desicion to get an assistance  dog sooner ? 

Would you recommend getting an assistance dog to others ?



I our first meeting we also came up with a list of tasks that Queenie (the assistance dog ) does daily to help . 

Taking clothes in and out of the Washing machine 
Picking up anything - phone , keys , purse 
Bringing her Food bowl 
Opening any doors 
Operating Switch doors 
Taking socks off
Taking coat off
Closeing and opening cupboards.

'Where have I been all your life' evaluation

‘Where have I been all your life?’   ‘Where have I been all your life’ is a short film that follows Liam’s journey to find his biological father and tell him that he is his son.   The film is part of the comedy genre. I followed Steve Neale's theory of repetition and difference to keep the audience interested, and yet still conform to the comedy genre. The short film conforms to the comedy genre through the use of Liam’s continuous awkward comments in a serious situation. For example, ‘you da man!’ when he has just told John that he is his son. By including this it means that this film conforms to the comedy genre, and gives a sense of familiarity to the audience. The short film also subverts from the genre. I did this in order to make sure the film was unique to other comedy films. I did this by including the dramatic twists of the plot, such as Liam going to the wrong house. Ideas for my final film

First Idea- The Effects of Anxiety One idea that I have is to create a short film on anxiety, and how it effects different people. One way I could do this could be through the eyes of someone with anxiety and how it prevents them from doing daily tasks.  I could also do this through having a physical creature or person that symbolises someone's anxiety.  I could go about this by interviewing people anxiety, and how it effects their everyday life.  I watched a few of videos to get some inspiration for a short film on anxiety.  What Having Anxiety Feels Like This was a video including the narration of a sufferer from anxiety. She tells us about all the physical symptoms she experiences, and yet doesn't notice. She also uses metaphors and similes, such as 'My anxiety feels like fire.', to describe how she feels on a daily basis.  It also includes black and white footage.
